jerk bbq chicken pizza

First weekend of 2021 and I got drunk with my friends lol…so at 32, I woke up on Sunday hurt and in need of carbs (and a beer lol)
I’ve had this jerk bbq chicken pizza recipe in my mind for awhile. One day I was thinking…”jerk bbq chicken would be really good as a pizza” and finally decided this was the perfect day, plus it was raining, to make this…it was delish and everything I thought it would be.
Try it below and let me know what you think!
Ingredients
- your favorite pizza shop’s dough
- 1 tablespoon of Walkerwood jerk paste (spicy)
- your favorite bbq sauce
- rotisserie chicken (shred half)
- whole milk mozzarella (shredded)
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
- salt & fresh cracked pepper
Directions
- pre heat your oven to 550 degrees. be careful because the stove is HOT!
- add 1 tablespoon of the jerk paste to about 1/2 cup of bbq sauce.
- roll out your dough as best as your can. toss the shredded chicken in the jerk bbq sauce so it doesn’t dry up when your pizza is cooking.
- add your dough to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper, add the jerk bbq sauce (don’t overwhelm the dough with sauce so it’s soggy), shredded mozz cheese then the chicken and sliced onions & red pepper. sprinkle with fresh cracked pepper, salt & drizzle the olive oil over before it goes in the oven.
- put it in the oven and depending on your oven let it cook for about 10 min! watch your pizza!
ENJOY!
